Atwater FFA Participates in Local Clean- Up Day

Numerous members of the Atwater High School FFA joined together after school to assist with a volunteer city and school clean-up this past week. “We are making an effort to get our students more involved within the community,” said FFA advisor Beth Knapp. This event is an extension of Atwater Beautification Day in which students took time to clean and pick-up debris in various areas of the city.

Students took part in cleaning debris throughout the school campus and along Winton Way near the high school. In addition, students took part in various school beautification projects. “This has been an annual event for our program and each year, the students put forth a lot of pride and enthusiasm towards this activity,” said Atwater FFA Advisor Beth Knapp, “It’s an opportunity for students to get involved and volunteer their time in making a positive difference.”

The Atwater High School Agriculture program and FFA is working diligently to expand opportunities
for student success, personal growth, and community involvement. “Serving our community is one of the
benefits of being involved with the FFA,” says FFA member Mason Rose.
