FFA Students Visit Monterey Bay
Aquarium
Twenty Atwater FFA students earned a trip to the
pacific coast in Monterey on June 6th
in recognition of being 2007-2008 Atwater FFA
Point Award winners. The FFA Point Awards system
was developed in order to recognize and award
those members who are most active in various FFA
activities throughout the year.
These year’s recipients visited Monterey and the
Monterey Bay Aquarium. “The aquarium was
spectacular!” said FFA member Terilyn
Bettencourt, “My favorite display was the
jellyfish exhibit.” The trip was also an
opportunity for students and teachers to enjoy a
beautiful day on the coast to begin the summer
season.
“These students represent the ‘cream of the
crop’ within our chapter and it was nice to
reward their efforts and contributions to our
program with this trip,” said FFA advisor Sam
Meredith
The 2007-2008 Atwater FFA Point Award winners
