Description:

Tough and easy to grow, these are the most widely used of all ferns.

Native to tropical parts of Africa, America, and Pacific Islands, the species grows to 7 ft. high and wide and has fronds to 6 in. wide. Most common forms are named selections grown as houseplants. The best known is ‘Bostoniensis’, Boston fern. Growing about 3 ft. high, it is the classic parlor fern, with a spreading, graceful, arching habit. As fronds age they droop, and can be broader than those of the species.
