Veterinary Science
(ROP)
Required:
(1) 11th and 12th Grade (10th
Grade w/ Instructor Approval)
(2) Ag Biology / Biology
Course Description – Veterinary Science is designed
to provide students with an opportunity to study the science
of veterinary medicine, including animal anatomy and
physiology, animal health, nutrition, and cause/prevention
of disease. Students will learn various veterinary
laboratory skills, aseptic and surgical procedures, basic
radiology, and scientific research and writing skills.
This
course provides the student eligibility for all FFA
activities throughout the year.
Course is
articulated for credit with Modesto Junior College and their
Veterinary Science program.
