Ag Biology

Prerequisites: 9th and 10th Grade Students

This life science course emphasizes laboratory, “hands-on” learning and problem solving skills. Course content includes cells, energy, transformations, genetics, DNA, genetic engineering, evolution, human systems, and ecology.

The classroom and course content matches the AHS Biology course content, however this course provides the student eligibility for all FFA activities throughout the year.

This course meets AHS graduation and UC/CSU “D” credit for admissions


Ag Earth Science

Requirements: 10th through 12th grade students ONLY

This physical science college laboratory course is designed to provide students with quantitative analysis and experimental tools that will enable them to critically analyze content knowledge in the areas of geology, meteorology, oceanography, and astronomy.

The classroom and course content matches the AHS Earth Science course content, however this course provides the student eligibility for all FFA activities throughout the year

This course meets AHS graduation and UC/CSU “G” credit for admissions


Ag Environmental Science

Requirements: 10th grade students ONLY

This course is designed to provide students with an introduction to ecological principles with an emphasis on earth science, biology, and physics while allowing the student to gain insight into the practical application of these principles with respect to agriculture.

This course provides the student eligibility for all FFA activities throughout the year

This course meets AHS graduation credit


Ag Life Science

This life science course emphasizes learning and problem solving skills. Course content includes cells, genetics, DNA, evolution, human systems, and ecology.

This course meets AHS Science graduation credit.
